Jenkins Bounty Program
Recently, Jenkins opened a new bounty program to make their projects more secure and more reliable, but what’s new in this program is the same kind of program as other bounty programs.
This indirectly supports long-term contributors in the platforms. Days have gone when the open source contributors only contributed for the sake of community work. Many open source organisations support contributors via financial reward as well.

Jenkins has been part in Google Summer of Code since 2016, and those who contribute and understand the codebase can get a good opportunity to showcase their capabilities in this program.
Another importance of contributing to the Jenkins organisation, most of the maintainers are from the Cloudbees organisation, and they are working full time open source contributor to make the Jenkins organisation stable.
